DELPHI — On Wednesday, a day before she gave herself permission to back away from the notes and constant reminders of that day inKelsi German posted a photo to her 10, followers on Twitter of a sunny day, showing her sitting outside next to her sister, Libby.
I miss you. On Thursday, the plan was to finish morning classes at Purdue — a school she transferred to after a freshman year at Ball State, so she could invest in a blossoming interest in forensic sciences — then head home to Delphi to help with a food drive and then retreat into family time for next few days. Early afternoon on Feb. Abby and Libby never returned that afternoon. A day later, a community search party found their bodies in the woods near Deer Creek, about a half-mile from the abandoned railroad trestle that gave the community trail its name.
Indiana State Police officials say they continue to get tips in a homicide investigation they insist is not a cold case.Ndrangheta:blitz a reggio c., 12 arresti
Question: Tell me about that that post. What do you remember about that Feb. Kelsi German: Well, Feb. I remember waking up that day and not really having any plans, and me and my boyfriend and his sister and her boyfriend at the time all decided to go out and have a fun night. And Abby and Libby wanted to go, but I said no, because I was the cool older sister that just wanted to hang out by herself. German: Exactly. Not when I was 17, I guess.
But a little later on, we came home and we ended up having a movie night at the house, and Abby and Libby hung out with us there. We had pizza and garlic knots and just enjoyed a little night at home together. ISP says, yes. German: We watched a really dumb, scary movie.
It was very, very dumb. German: Yeah, I think I would have spent a little more time with them. Hung out with them instead of going out with my boyfriend. Then, just maybe I'd have asked my grandma if we could've taken her car, so we could have fit two more people, because I could have hung out with her. I just decided that it wasn't the cool thing to do.DELPHI — Recent articles and arrests have sparked a number of rumors as we get close to the two year mark for the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi, but investigators say spreading misinformation can actually have a negative effect on the investigation.
Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby says he wants to stress to the public that there has not been any new evidence in the case. He says there is no "new" evidence, but their investigators will continue to look for new ways to review the evidence that they already have.
Another rumor floating around is that Investigators believe a man recently arrested in Randolph County for sexual crimes against children could be the Delphi killer. From there, several other news organizations locally and across the country began sharing it as well. Because that man has not been named a suspect or a person of interest, RTV6 will not name him in connection with this case. Last year there was a person of interest in the investigation, but that man has since been cleared by investigators.
Investigators working on the Delphi case say they are aware of the man's arrest and they will look into it, just as they do any other tip they receive about the murders but at this time they do not have any reason to believe he is connected to the case.
Indiana State Police's statement also urges people to send in tips rather than comparing photos online. What we really appreciate is when the public submits their tip information. Their bodies were found murdered the next day, on Valentine's Day, February 14, Off from school and looking for some outdoor fun, Liberty "Libby" German14, and Abigail "Abby" Williams13, went hiking near the Monon High Bridge in Delphi, Indiana after being dropped off by a family member. It was during this time police suspect they were approached by the killer s.
They were reported missing after both girls failed to show up to their predetermined pickup location later that day. Delphi is a small community of just about 3, people and is mostly surrounded by scenic, nature trails. It wouldn't be uncommon for the girls, or anyone, to go for a hike there. During their hike, Libby posted a Snapchat photo of Abby taken at p.
At p. When they failed to do so, the family immediately called the police to report the girls missing. Police and volunteers took to the trail in search of Libby and Abby, but ultimately called off the search around midnight due to darkness. As a parent, this part concerns me greatly.
If there was even the slightest chance of finding one or both girls alive, nothing would stop me, especially darkness. However, the police initially thought foul play wasn't a factor. Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby stated that there was no reason to be believe the girls were in immediate danger.
K-9 units, dive teams, volunteers, and police officers continued the search in the morning, looking for the two girls. Authorities refused to identify the two girls as Liberty German and Abigail Williams at a press conference held a few hours later. In a news conference on the same day, police confirmed that the bodies found were Libby and Abby. It was only on February 19th that police called the man in the photo a suspect in the double homicide.
A hotline was set up for potential tips anyone may have, but police cautioned the community not to 'harass, bother or accuse' anyone. Because of social media, and the onslaught of armchair detectives, pictures and information of people who may look like the man in the photo circulated, causing death threats and harassment.
In a press conference on February 22nd, officers were visibly shaken and upset when talking about the two girls and asked for the public's assistance in helping find the culprit. You can watch the full presser here:. Tony Slocum of the Indiana State Police. In the recording that police released hoping that someone might recognize the killer's voice, you can hear a male voice instructing the girls to go "down the hill.

Delphi murders: What we know about the case
Paul Etter. Updated sketch of Delphi suspect. By Harriet Sokmensuer. Close Share options. All rights reserved. Close View image.Today, I really think this rumor needs to be addressed. I chose this rumor to study first because I'd really like for my readers to join me in this research. We all know that Ron Logan's property was searched, including the barns on his property. I personally don't know whether any other barns in the area have been searched.
There was a home on Bicycle Road searched as well and no arrests. So, for the moment, we'll assume the rumor is still true. Law Enforcement must have come upon a scene of two brutally attacked girls, with a clean perimeter, a clean scene.
This would bring them to conclude Libby and Abby were abducted and later dumped to be found. If that were the case, how far do you believe a killer who just abducted two teenage girls would drive, in order to have privacy enough to carry out a gruesome, brutal beating and rape of both?Daymak em1 upgrades
If the plan were to return the bodies to be found, I personally don't think they'd drive an extreme distance. We also have to look at this - if they were abducted, taken to a barn, beaten, raped, killed, and returned to be found, there was a reason for them to be found. There was a message lying in the leaves with those two girls that day.
We just have to decode it. So, let's look at a few barns in the area. Not many. I won't include the two areas where we know search warrants were served. When I think about this killer, I picture a local guy s that rides a 4 wheeler through that area, hunts that area and knows every deer trail like the back of his hand. With that said, he would also know where every barn is. These structures are good hunting sheds, good protection from the weather when you're hiking or 4 wheeling and a storm comes through.
Any of these barns, cabins, structures would be less than a 15 minute drive from the end of the bridge to the structure and less than 10 minutes to deliver the bodies from the structure to the cemetery. The first structure - blue border.

If you notice, there is a small dirt road leading from the back of the property to the barn the spot where the dot marks West. There is actually a dirt turn off to drive up into the woods, in front of the barn.Today 100 percant strength win
However the line you see leading to it is not the route in and out. There are three structures in this same area with dirt roads that lead through the woods to each one. If they were already dead, wrapped up and dragged there, disposing of clothing in the creek before leaving, it would not have taken long to dump the bodies and move on or blend in.
If the girls were abducted and taken to a barn, this would solidify the theory of the killer being familiar with the area and most likely familiar with one or both of the girls. If the attack itself happened there by the creek, if they were murdered 50 feet from the creek bank, why didn't anyone hear or see anything?

They were passed to me to share without the original source.By Joshua Rhett Miller. February 22, am Updated February 23, am. Authorities in Indiana on Wednesday released a haunting, three-word audio clip extracted from video found on the phone of a year-old girl who was found murdered with her friend last week.
David Bursten told reporters. Bursten said investigators are still trying to determine whether the killings were the result of a chance encounter on the remote trails or if whoever committed the murders knew that the girls would be there on Feb. The man in the photograph appears to be wearing blue jeans with a blue coat and a hoodie. Is their sleep pattern different now?
Have they been anxious, nervous, irritable? Why Abby? Why Delphi? Why Carroll County? Why the region, why the state, why even the nation?
I say that because this is a classic example that evil lives amongst us. Prior to their disappearance, Liberty posted a photo on Snapchat of Abigail looking somber on a railroad bridge in Delphi. The post marked the last time either girl was seen alive, Time reported.
